This agreement is entered into between Compass Point Christian Academy (CPCA) and our teachers so that we are clear on what is expected.
1. Position and Duties
The teacher agrees to serve in the role of teacher.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and delivering instruction for 4 teaching weeks.
- Arriving on time and staying for the whole allotted time of class.
- Setting up and cleaning up the assigned classroom or instructional space.
- Providing a substitute teacher with a clear lesson plan and all necessary supplies in the event of an absence.
- Paying the substitute teacher directly for their service.
- UM professors may have a graduate student or colleague substitute. Background checks must be in place.
- Choosing a substitute from the approved CPCA substitute list.
CPCA's Responsibilities:
- Provide an appropriate space to teach.
- Teacher Support when needed.
- Student Support when needed.
- Provide insurance that covers not only the building but misconduct of teachers & staff.
2. Class Schedule
The teacher is informed of the class dates at the time of signing this agreement.
These dates are fixed and will not be changed. Cancellation of co-op may happen in case of bad weather or too many teachers/families out sick.
No make up days will be added.
The teacher is expected to be present on all scheduled class days unless an emergency arises. Our families are valuable and deserve the same commitment that they make by enrolling and paying our fees.
3. Term of Agreement
This contract is valid for the 2025 - 2026 school year unless terminated earlier in accordance with the terms below.
4. Schedule and Hours
The teacher is expected to be on campus on the Fridays listed below during their class periods. With additional planning or preparation as needed.
5. Termination
In the event that the teacher chooses to terminate the agreement before 4 weeks are complete, the teacher agrees to refund each family the class fee minus class days attended & supply fee to the parents. Supplies should also be given to parents.
Immediate termination may occur for cause, such as misconduct or breach of contract. Full Refund will be expected.

Code of ConductThe teacher agrees to uphold Christian values, maintain professionalism, and model respectful behavior at all times in alignment with CPCA’s mission. Upholding that our families are valuable and our children are important.
